Days Island's BOOM essential oil blend has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that make it an great choice in the immediate treatment of common bites and stings.
How to use BOOM to treat insect bites and stings:
For non-toxic bites, apply BOOM as soon as possible.
Gently clean affected area and let air-dry.
Apply 1-3 drops directly onto affected area. Repeat up to five times per day, or as needed to reduce symptoms.
For children or those with sensitive skin, dilute 3-5 drops in 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil (such as jojoba or coconut oil) and apply a small amount to affected area every hour, or as often as needed.
A 50:50 mixture of BOOM and carrier oil can also be applied directly onto the skin.
Add 10 drops of BOOM to one cup of very warm (almost hot) water. Saturate a washcloth and apply as a compress to the affected area. Repeat as necessary to soothe and reduce swelling.
Avoid scratching as much as possible to minimize chance of infection.
In these processes, BOOM may cause the affected area to sting. If this is the case, gently rinse and reapply in a diluted or lessened solution.
