Frankincense Oil: Using frankincense oil for fibroids June 09 2014
Uterine fibroids are noncancerous (benign) tumors that are found within the uterus. The reason for the growth of these fibroid tumors is not clearly understood, but many experts suggest they are linked to the hormone estrogen. They occur in many women but often go undetected because they are very small or cause no noticeable symptoms. Larger fibroids produce various symptoms, such as heavy and long periods, abdominal pressure and bloating, lower back pain, and problems with fertility. Typically, nothing needs to be done about fibroids when they are small, but when they get larger and begin to cause problems, surgery is often the best option for removal.
Frankincense oil (Boswellia serrata) contains sesquiterpenes, which contribute greatly to balancing hormones. Frankincense will also help to balance the endocrine system, which is responsible for the regulation and balance of bodily functions (as they all affect the hormones.) Frankincense essentially helps to balance various bodily glands that all work in sync to support a healthy reproductive system. It can help the body flush a lot of the toxins that build up and manifest in fibroids within the uterus. When a fibroid is smaller or in the early stages of growth, Frankincense oil can be very effective in shrinking or even eliminating the pesky growth before surgery is even needed.
How to use frankincense oil to treat uterine fibroids:
Make capsules of 3-5 drops frankincense oil mixed with light carrier oil (such as almond) and take one capsule twice daily. Repeat until your next scan and thereafter until the fibroids have been affected.
Place 2 or 3 drops under the tongue every night and every morning. Repeat as mentioned above.
Apply 2-3 drops frankincense oil to ½ teaspoon carrier oil. Massage over the abdomen twice daily.
Apply 3-5 drops to the bottom of feet once in the morning and again at bedtime. Cover with socks and allow for the oil to continuously absorb into skin and cells.
